Martin
Waechter, Ph.D., Director has participated on a national,
state and local level in the development of behavioral
managed care. On a national level, he was a member of
the Council of Group Practices for the Institute of
Behavioral Healthcare, which conducted the first clinical
application to struggle with doing outcome studies in
non-research settings. Dr. Waechter was the Behavioral
Health Director for six years with a statewide managed
behavioral health organization and was central to their
utilization management and developing systems to be
responsive with obtaining NCQA certification. Dr. Waechter
has been a strong advocate of provider self-management
and is active in training this point of view to CFD
staff.
Erika Waechter, L.C.S.W. and Mitch Schwartz, M.A., Clinical
Supervisors, have served on a variety of utilization
review committees during their commercial, private practice
experience and are primary supervisors to therapists
and behavioral support specialists providing service
to LaneCare clients. All extensions are reviewed at
the time of supervision and all therapist supervision
is done in a one-to-one setting.
