Adult
and Child Outpatient Programs:
Clients
may receive individual, couple, or family therapy. An
intake therapist assesses the client's needs and assigns
an appropriate therapist. Clients typically see therapists
weekly or biweekly in our office or in the community,
when necessary.
Adult
Recovery and Youth Recovery Programs:
Adults
and adolescents receive group, individual, educational
and family therapy to treat chemical dependency. The
programs provide community and resource coordination,
therapeutic interventions for related mental health
issues, support for change and skills application, and
relapse prevention. The adolescent program focuses on
families structuring and supporting their teens' positive
behavior.
Therapy
Groups:
CFD
therapists provide a number of groups. While offerings
change, typically the following groups are available:
Panic/Anxiety Clinic: this ten-week group is offered
to clients who experience panic attacks.
Depression: this twelve-week group is available to adults
who suffer from depression.
For start dates of these groups, please call 242-2999
for information.
Behavioral
Support Specialist Services:
Behavioral
Support Specialists (BSSs) teach life skills and coping
strategies to children, adolescents and adults with
severe emotional and behavioral issues. Interventions
are provided in home, school, community, occupational
and recreational settings.
CFD
- Teaching Clinic:
Sliding
scale/fee-for-service therapy is available to clients
without Medicaid, OHP, or insurance benefits. Supervised
student interns provide counseling, with hourly fees
based on the client's net monthly income. Sliding scale
fees start at $5 per session.
Student
Assistance Program
The
SAP Program is based in 13 middle schools and is geared
toward prevention of juvenile delinquency. Students
are referred to the program by school staff and/or parents.
Adolescent
Risk Intervention:
The
ARI Program is designed to be short-term (2-6 months)
and intensive with the purpose of preventing delinquency
in "high risk", non-adjudicated youth. Youth aged 10-17
that exhibit specific risk factors are eligible for
the ARI Program.
